Denver Guidelines For Quality Youth Programming

The Denver Guidelines for Quality Youth Programming are the result of a cooperative effort among several agencies serving youth in Denver. Our goal was to create guidelines that could be relevant to almost any type of environment, in the belief that quality should be our standard, for all ages, all communities and all programs. Our hope is that the Denver Guidelines for Quality Youth Programming will enable program providers to manage their programs with skill, confidence and care - cultivating effective relationships, devising stimulating activities, and building a suitable environment - to create an enjoyable experience for the youth they serve. Representatives of the following organizations contributed their professional expertise to this effort:

  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Denver
  • Catholic Charities and Community Resources of Denver
  • Denver Parks and Recreation/Community Recreation
  • Denver Public Schools Department of Extended Learning
  • Girl Scouts of Colorado
  • Kaleidoscope Corner School-Age Child Care
  • Mi Casa Resource Center for Women, Inc.
  • Mile High United Way
  • YMCA of Metropolitan Denver
